Aylesbury Cheerleading Academy (ACA) had an exciting and successful weekend

at Future Cheer Nationals in July 2018 where the majority of all UK Cheerleading

Teams come together to battle for the title of National Champion across the full

range of ages and levels. ACA attended the competition with 6 teams made up of

120 athletes ranging in age from 5 – 17! All teams delivered exceptional

performances and made us incredibly proud! We took home 2 x National

Champ titles and four further top 5 positions in some very tough and large divisions!

In addition, We are delighted to announce that our Junior Level 2 team also qualified

through to internationals, known as ‘The Summit’ which is held in Orlando Florida,

May 2019. We were thrilled to learn that of 215 teams that were eligible to be

considered for a ‘bid’ (which is what you earn to qualify), we were 1 of just 10

teams that were awarded!

It is an incredible accolade for the athletes on that team and for the Academy as a

whole! It is a true reflection of the endless hours of hard work and dedication the

athletes and coaches have put into training.

Preparation for The Summit, is now underway and the quality of work from the athletes at this stage in the game is outstanding! We are so proud that they are taking this responsibility seriously (8am training on a Sunday is not for the faint-hearted) and we are so excited about what they can produce over the next few months!

It is an enormous privilege to be able to travel to America, and enjoy a week away with the team but the focus is first and foremost about Cheer, Top Level Competition, representing ACA and taking our club to the World Stage. An opportunity we take seriously…… !! While away, the Team will have a strict schedule of networking, promotion of ACA and our Sponsors, training and performances, in place. Yes we are fortunate to be travelling to Orlando as a location – but the athletes have work to do and are not being taken on Holiday (although of course, we plan to have lots of fun along the way)!

We plan to blog our journey, promote our sponsors and update everyone on our fundraising mission across social media in the lead up to the competition and of course whilst we are out there so we do hope you will follow us!!

Unfortunately, qualifying through to this competition is not funded in any way and the parents of each Summit Athlete are responsible for funding the trip themselves (less whatever they can raise via fundraising).

A dedicated Summit fundraising team has been established by parents of the Summit athletes who will be arranging a series of events and activities (as well as reaching out to the media to help promote our achievement and to businesses who may be interested in supporting the team via sponsorship). The purpose of this fundraising committee is to support the athletes for this incredible opportunity that they have worked extremely hard to achieve and to reduce the financial burden for individual families. Any money raised will be going solely towards the team costs and expenses for attending the competition and will be split between the athletes for them all to benefit.

Please do get in touch if you think you can help in anyway, we would be delighted to discuss our sponsorship packages with you.
